Name: Gabriel Gray, however he goes by the alias Sylar.
Gender: Male.
Age: Unknown, but it is safe to say he is in his late twenties/early thirties. I'd guess around 32 is reasonable.
Birthday: June 2.
Place of Residence: He has no permanent residence. Sylar grew up in Queens, New York and owned an apartment in NYC, but has since moved. He's currently lurking his home state however. (Boy cannot make up his mind.)
Ability: Sylar's original ability was the understanding of how things work or 'tick' which is what made him an excellent watch maker. Since the unfortunate incident involving Brian Davis, Sylar now is capable of a lot of things. From what we know: telekinesis, cryokinesis, enhanced memory, liquefaction, and enhanced hearing.
Monetary Situation: I seriously doubt he owns a million dollars.

Side of the Conflict and Why: As far as we know, Sylar does not plan on exploding New York City. He is also not in cahoots with the Company. Sylar was held captive at the facility until heTOTALLY PWNED escaped. In fact, it's safe to say that Sylar is on his own side. He has one goal - to be special - and nothing is going to stop him.

Brief Family History: Sylar was not always a walking watch advertisement. His real name is Gabriel Gray and he lived a simple life in New York City working in his family's business Gray & Sons as a watch maker. He always craved something more though. Gabriel thought his family was insignificent and that he was destined for greater things - that he was special.
He told all of this to Chandra Suresh, the Indian doctor who traveled to the States in order to find people with special abilities. Chandra took Gabriel in and began experimenting on him, trying to find the special powers that Gabriel claimed he had. However, Chandra could find nothing and decided to abandon Gabriel and move on to the next person on his list. Gabriel grew angry with this sudden decision and decided to take matters into his own hands. He was one step ahead of Chandra Suresh and invited Brian Davis to his work shop. There, Gabriel claimed he could help fix Brian Davis of his telekinetic ability and proceeded to beat him to death with a blunt object. (This is also where we first hear of Gabriel introducing himself as 'Sylar'.) It is unknown what occurred afterward, but later Gabriel returns to Chandra with Brian Davis's ability - he can now move objects using only his thoughts. Chandra is impressed and continues to experiment on Gabriel. It is assumed later though that Gabriel is overcome with this uncontrollable hunger and blames Chandra for making him this way. He kills Chandra as an act of 'revenge' and goes off on a killing spree throughout the United States under the alias Sylar.
Using his telekinesis, Sylar slices the skulls of people who exhibit special abilities and steals their brain. We do not know WHAT he does with them, but it is widely accepted that he most likely consumes these brains in order to obtain the powers. (Yummy.) Sylar has also been reported to kill people or have been the cause of death for quite a number of other people and yet not stealing their brain. Fancy that?

Sylar is currently attempting to obtain Claire's ability to regenerate, but Mr. Bennett and other Company members drove him out of Texas. (Oh and the whole Homecoming thing. I'm sure everyone watched THAT.) After that incident, Sylar hitches a ride with a truck diver whom he then murders and undergoes a wild police chase before crashing the trucker...yada yada.
He finds himself on the doorstep of Zane Taylor and is mistakened for Dr. Suresh. Sylar poses as the doctor and witnesses Zane's ability (do I really have to say what it is?). Impressed, Sylar takes Zane's ability and leaves him dead in the kitchen. He poses as Zane Taylor when Mohinder Suresh arrives at his house and the two team up together to figure out the List.
Mohinder catches onto Sylar's mask though and attempts to restrain and kill him, but Sylar is one step ahead again and...Christ, just watch Parasite.
